Formats
Two ways to set the room for a working day
A/V equipment, Staging, Conference tables are ours, so the format is a conversation rather than a rental order: conference rooms set as a hollow square, or classroom rows. Change it at lunch if the afternoon needs something else.

Who has met here
Conferences, retreats, trade shows and the Chamber
Conferences, dinners, galas, fundraisers, trade shows and yoga retreats have all run in this building, and the Asheville Chamber of Commerce is a partner. A corporate retreat takes both levels for the day: sessions downstairs, breakouts and lunch upstairs, and the balcony when the room needs air. Evenings are on the corporate and social events page.
Before you ask
Meeting planner questions
- How many does the meeting space hold?
- Market & Mezzanine seats 250 and holds 350 standing. The Second Level seats 120 and holds 175. They book separately, so a plenary downstairs can break out upstairs.
- Is A/V included?
- A/V equipment, staging and conference tables are in the building and part of the rental, along with tables, chairs, linens, staffing and specialty lighting. You bring the deck.
- Where do attendees stay and park?
- Downtown hotels are within walking distance, two of them a block away. There is no private lot; four city garages are within a few minutes on foot. Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is about 15 miles south, 20 to 25 minutes by car on I-26.
- Can we do lunch and dinner in the same room?
- Yes. Catering is yours or from our preferred list, served in the room, and the changeover from classroom to banquet is our staff rather than a rental order. The bar and beverage service is ours and can open when the agenda ends.
- How is a meeting or conference priced?
- On the day, the level and the setup, with the equipment and staffing included. Weekdays are quoted differently from weekends. Tell us the date, the headcount and the format and you will have a number.
